The Villa

Villa Guatiza is a 200 year old villa farmhouse sitting on a private 7,500 m2 densely planted finca in Lanzarote. The villa has been renovated sympathetically to the original building, and with a great eye for detail both inside and out; it is a stunning success.

Location

The attractive Lanzarote village of Guatiza, in the northern interior of Lanzarote is the setting for this 200 year old farmhouse now fully renovated as a holiday home. The little village of Guatiza is renowned for its wonderful cacti garden: the work of the artist Cesar Manrique.

Although secluded off the main village road, Villa Guatiza it is set amidst the day-to-day life of the local Canarian people.

Interior

The rental property features two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, which open on to a 110m2 wooden deck. The third bedroom has a quality sofa-bed with down cushions.

The open plan kitchen-dinning room is very spacious with beamed 10m ceilings, and a beautiful Moroccan lamp hanging over a handmade cedar table which seats 8 people. The cooker has 6 burners, 3 ovens, dishwasher and complete inventory – perfect for self catering holidays.

This holiday home’s spacious live-in kitchen with its emerald green stone floor is a harmonious mixture of modern lifestyle, with Moroccan influences providing the setting for relaxed self catering, country living. The kitchen is the heart of the house: around the large table there is comfortable seating for eight persons.

The large lounge with its comfortable Italian sofas and easy chairs, high pitched roof with beams, and wood burning stove is extremely snug. Authentic Moroccan rugs in the bedrooms, kitchen and lounge add the perfect splash of colour to contrast with the dark shining floors and light furniture: a seemingly effortless blend of styles and comfortable living.

In the salon there are 2 proper Italian sofas and 2 large easy chairs, plus surround sound stereo system with DVD, Ipod, 100+CD, satellite TV, wooden floors and Moroccan rugs. We have installed an ADSL line with cordless WIFI for your laptop computer.

The linen, towels and duvets are of superior quality, and a laundry room with washer/dryer is available – also we can provide baby beds and high chairs with quality linen.

The high-ceiling rooms with whitewashed walls are a pleasure to the eye and add an extra dimension to the generously arranged rooms, forming a strong relaxing aura that influences the excellent overall design of the interior.

The private, sheltered pool area has a lovely Lanzarote olive tree and many potted flowering plants, along with a handmade dining table under a gazebo, 4 teak sun beds, and a gas BBQ! In addition to the heated pool, this holiday home in Lanzarote has a sauna and a gym! There is a garage with automatic door and bicycles, surf and boogie board are there for your use.

The Exterior

The rear patio is fully private with a heated swimming pool, gas barbecue, handmade dining table with an olive tree, flowers and teak sun beds. The gym is entered from the patio of the house and has a good sauna. There are bicycles, boogie board and Malibu surfboard in the 54m2 garage which has an automatic door.

The house sets on 7500m2 property and walking/riding trails are minutes from the front door. The Lanzarote town of Guatiza is home to the Manrique Cactus Gardens – there are 500 residents with a good village supermarket 2 minutes walk from the villa.
