2 Bed Villa in Mala
In Lanzarote’s rural north, just half an hour from the airport, yet far from the beaten track, we are offering a charming villa for up to 4 people for rent the village MALA. The detached house is surrounded by lovingly tended gardens and offers a tranquil setting in absolute seclusion. You have a wonderful view over the bay of ARRIETA, up to PUNTA MUJERES, JAMEOS DEL AGUA and the DEL ESTE ROQUE, which together with the islands LA GRACIOSA, ALEGRANZA, and MONTAÑA CLARA build the reserva marina ARCHIPIELAGO CHINIJO.
At the front of the villa you will find spacious parking for two cars, one of which is covered. From there you have access to the garden next to a perfectly sheltered courtyard, which is equipped with a long table and benches. There is a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner under a canopy with remote control or under the open sky.
The courtyard leads to the directly to the ground level, and independently via an external staircase to the upper floor.
The ground floor consists of a spacious living room with a large sofa, TV, DVD and Wi-Fi, an open dining area and a large, first-class equipped kitchen with adjoining pantry and laundry room, and a cozy bedroom with double bed and spacious wardrobes, a nice bathroom and a storage room.
The first floor offers another double bedroom, with wardrobe and chest of drawers, and an additional bathroom. In front of it, there is a beautiful, sheltered sun terrace which is partly covered with a canopy, and thus gives the cozy sitting area shade. From there, the view is even more spectacular than the ground floor; with ocean views and spectacular sunsets that bathe the gardens, cochinilla fields and volcanoes in magical light. The house and grounds are in excellent condition and exude a sense of peace and harmony amidst a tranquil setting with friendly neighbours.

In the immediate surrounding area there are paths and trails for walking, jogging or cycling. On the rocky coast in front of Mala there is a small natural pool, which provides protection from waves. The bold may also dive or snorkel on the outside of the pool. A few kilometers further north, located well within reach on foot, is the beach PLAYA DE LA GARITA with a more gentle slope to the sea, perfect for bathing and swimming, and on stormy days for surfing. Directly on the beach there is a cozy little restaurant with blue chairs and checkered tablecloths. They serve excellent fresh fish and other dishes, but you can also just have a drink. We especially recommend a glass Lanzarotian Malvasia wine. Both in the nearby towns of ARRIETA and PUNTA MUJERES, as well as in GUATIZA are small restaurants and well-stocked supermarkets. In MALA itself there are two restaurants, a small corner shop and a pharmacy. For Nudist Friends (optional without clothes), a trip to the nearby town of Charco del Palo, where you will find some safe access to the ocean is also recommended. Here again there are two restaurants and a small supermarket.
And should there be need for a bit of life after a few days of intense idleness: you are only 15 minutes by car from the historic city of VILLA DE TEGUISE, or even COSTA TEGUISE, a tourist resort with beautiful beaches, bars, international restaurants and a beautiful golf course.
In 20 minutes you can reach Lanzarote’s capital ARRECIFE. Furthermore, various excursions to villages and landscapes in the north, including ORZOLA, HARIA or FAMARA are available. In the south, definitely worth seeing is the wine landscape of LA GERIA, the National Park DEL FUEGO LAS MONTAÑAS, LOS HERVIDEROS, EL GOLFO.
Do not neglect the CENTROS DE ARTE CULTURA Y TURISMO DE Lanzarote. Almost all were designed by the brilliant Lanzarotian artist Cesar Manrique, who has done so much to ensure that this magical, island he so loved was named a RESERVA DE LA BIOSFERA by UNESCO.
